Sushi’s DriveInfo Gadget

Sushi’s DriveInfo is a nifty gadget that displays the remaining space on all your hard-drives. It displays information in percentage values, absolute space (in GB) and a progress-bar telling you how much is used and how much is avalibale.

Mine disappeared too and I discovered it vanishes if you have a CD/DVD in your disc drive or a mounted image in your Daemon Tools or similar.

I fixed the floppy bug by hacking the code a bit. Find the file called “switch_driveinfo.html” or “sushi_driveinfo.html” in/near:

%userprofile%\appdata\local\microsoft\windows sidebar\gadgets

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Sushi’s DriveInfo switch_driveinfo.gadget

open the file in notepad, and remove that letters AB from the var list, so the rest of the alphabet is remaining. Then, do a search and replace and replace all the number 26 with the number 24 (since you are only using 24 letters of the alphabet now). P{resto Chango open

I faced the same disappearing problem with this addon and like someone else said above i removed 1 cd and 1 external disc from my pc and made it appear once again

The gadget reacts very slowly to right clicks. I can’t get the gadget to move. It has positioned itself to the bottom right of the entire screen and almost invisible.

It appears the gadget “disappears” when there is an blank dvd on the physical drive when the computer o session begins! Take out the DVD and the gadget reappears.

having troble white this programme it is scanning mijn floppydrive if I turn the gadget out the scanning is over
and it has no effect to klik out the removeble drive help my white my problem

Gadget disappears if you put a blank recordable in DVD drive, sometimes it even crashes Windows.
It constantly checks your floppy drive.
Fixed the latter, have still to find out the first.
